SLEMAN HDSS DATA ACCESS

Sleman HDSS has been collecting health and demographic data from the population of Sleman Regency since 2015. Over eight data collection cycles, the accumulated data has resulted in numerous valuable outputs, including final assignments (theses and dissertations), scientific publications in reputable journals, and policy briefs submitted to the Sleman Regency Government.

Sleman HDSS ensures that the data used for analysis undergoes rigorous data management processes to maintain high quality. This commitment is achieved through systematic data cleaning, organization, and storage, all of which are supervised by experts.

The annual data collection by Sleman HDSS provides significant opportunities for academic communities to utilize the data. Sleman HDSS data can be accessed through the following schemes:

MICRO DATA (SECONDARY DATA)

Micro Data is an access scheme that allows users to independently analyze datasets collected by HDSS Sleman. Users can determine the type of data analysis to be conducted based on the modules or variables available in the HDSS Sleman data collection.

Before making a microdata request, users are expected to familiarize themselves with the Sleman HDSS data collection modules by reading the Guidelines Volume 1, Volume 2, and Volume 3. Users can then select the variables and data collection cycles that best suit their research needs. The datasets provided will include variables as specified in the approved request.

  1. The latest HDSS Sleman data is restricted to use by the UGM FK-KMK community. A wider audience may access the data two years after its collection.

5. Make payments for micro data usage

After the uploaded application form and documents are reviewed, applicants will receive confirmation regarding the amount payable. The cost of microdata access varies based on the applicant’s current level of educational, as follows:

Notes: Any data exceeding the package limits will be subject to an additional fee of IDR 300 per data point, in accordance with UGM fee regulations.

6. Data set creation

The data set will be created after the applicant submits proof of payment.

7. Receive data sets

Applicants will receive the data set via the data portal provided by the Sleman HDSS.

Important Notes

  1. A single team with the same project title only needs to submit one application form.
  2. An individual researcher or research team can submit multiple research plans.
  3. The application will only be processed by Sleman HDSS after all required documents have been received and verified as complete.
  4. The estimated time for creating a data set depends on the number of secondary data requests currently being processed by Sleman HDSS.

DATA AGREGAT (SUMMARY DATA)

Aggregate data (summary data) refers to a data access scheme that allows users to utilize aggregated data for preliminary research purposes or to determine research topics. The aggregate data that can be requested is limited to data not available in the Sleman HDSS data visualization. Users are required to specify the variable codes and operational definitions of the variables needed before submitting an application.

The payment amount is determined based on the complexity of the requested aggregate data, including the time required for its creation. The cost for creating aggregate data starts at IDR 50,000 per hour.
