Besides a routine data collection, the Sleman HDSS Sleman also gave training which aims to improve the student’s or lecturer’s ability on research and data analysis. It held for 4 days started from 7 until 10 February 2017. The Sleman HDSS collaboration with the Center of Health Behavior and Promotion (CHBP) held a training program with the topic ‘Qualitative Method Research’. The training aimed to improve the participant’s capacity in carrying out the qualitative methodology in health study from designing the research until qualitative data analysis. There were 23 participants attended this training. They were doctoral students, lecturers, researchers, and health observers.
Workshop of “HDSS Data Utilization” held on Thursday, 15 June 2017 at 13.00 – 14.30 in the 1st floor Radiopoetro Building, Faculty of Medicine, Public Health and Nursing (FK-KMK) Universitas Gadjah Mada. The participants of this workshop were researchers of the Sleman HDSS and another guest. The guest was chosen by the researcher as a co-author to assist in writing paper. Co-author came from several departments in the Faculty of Medicine, Public Health and Nursing.
In this workshop, dr. Fatwa Sari Tetra Dewi, MPH., Ph.D’s started the presentation about the Sleman HDSS profile, the advantage and the aim of this workshop. Moreover, she also delivered the plan for publication and opportunities for data utilization.
Center of Health Behavior and Promotion (CHBP) Faculty of Medicine, Public Health and Nursing, Universitas Gadjah Mada collaboration with the Sleman HDSS conducted training of community empowerment as part of the Healthy Indonesia Program with Family Approach (PIS-PK) at 3-4 May 2018. The training participants were postgraduate students, Faculty of Public Health, Universitas Malahayati Bandar Lampung. On this occasion, the Sleman HDSS principal investigator, dr. Fatwa Sari Tetra Dewi introduced the Sleman HDSS profile. The Sleman HDSS project manager, Septi Kurnia Lestari, S.G, MMedScPH, and the Sleman HDSS data manager facilitated the analysis of quantitative data and coaching clinic sessions. The other researchers of Sleman HDSS also participated in the training as speaker. Dr. Supriyati, S.Sos, M.Kes informed HDSS data utilization for community empowerment. Then, dr. Lutfan Lazuardi, M.Kes, Ph.D. explainedHDSS data utilization to advocate the government.
In 9, 16, 23 and 28 May 2019, the Sleman HDSS conducted training of data visualization using tableau application in the Sleman HDSS’s office. This training aimed to improve the Sleman HDSS staff’s knowledge and skill to present the data analysis results. The training participants were all HDSS staff. The training materials were about the introduction of tableau, the first step of data visualization, the second step of data visualization and dashboard formation.
Training utilization of Open Data Kit (ODK) held to improve Sleman HDSS staff’s knowledge and skills in data collection. All Sleman HDSS teams participated in this training. The speaker of the training was Rio Aditya Pratama, S.Gz. The topic thatdiscussed in this training session were ODK introduction, how to make any form, data collection using ODK, and data aggregate utilization. At the end of the session, the participants practiced how to make ODK.
