Economic Status by Rural and Urban Areas

Household economic status is an indicator of the household’s economic level, constructed based on information on asset ownership (e.g., household items, fuel, livestock, land) and housing characteristics (e.g., type of walls, type of roof, toilet facilities, main water source) using Principal Component Analysis. The household economic status in HDSS is divided into five quintiles: lowest, lower-middle, middle, upper-middle, and highest.
